Who We Are
White Pine Bath & Brew is a woman-owned small business created in the summer of 2020 in the heart of South Portland, Maine. We are committed to bringing quiet moments of luxury to our customers' day-to-day experiences.
At White Pine Bath & Brew, we formulate high-quality, vegan skincare with a primary focus on luxury bar soap designed from Maine craft beers. All products are vegan, palm oil free, and handmade in small batches in South Portland, Maine.
Craft beer is used in all our soaps due to the overlap of ingredients in beer and those in skincare. There are amino acids in hops which are soothing for irritated skin. There is biotin, pantothenic acid, and a number of other essential vitamins in the brewer's yeast. Beer also contributes to a more luxurious lather, providing our customers with a peak sensory experience.
While plenty of companies make soap, no one does it quite like us. Our use of Maine beer, our careful attention to detail, and our unique hot process method sets White Pine Bath & Brew apart from the rest.
Our Values
White Pine Bath & Brew products are vegan and palm oil free. Each product is designed with the concepts of quality, transparency, and integrity in mind. We are open about our ingredients which are listed on our product labels. In an effort to create moments of quiet luxury for every skin type, we offer soaps with a wide variety of scent profiles, textures, and special benefits.
At White Pine Bath & Brew, we source all of the beer for our soap exclusively from breweries in Maine. When possible, White Pine Bath & Brew collects brewery production excess. Craft breweries commonly produce waste in the form of short-fills and overstock beer that has passed its freshest point. By purchasing and/or repurposing this beer, White Pine Bath & Brew supports other local businesses and helps to reduce waste across multiple industries.
As a newer business, we are also learning and striving to be conscious of our effect on the planet. We want to bring you awesome soaps - not more waste. We are committed to continually re-evaluating and improving the overall product quality as well as our environmental impact.
